leedsrefugeeforum.org.uk – wordpress website

Queer Web Design have been supporters of Leeds Refugee Forum for the past two years, volunteering and working with the charity on numerous projects – from a website re-design, in-house tech support, social media and graphic design.

The previous website was clunky, slow and difficult to understand. Bracken designed a new website, and I coded it to work across all screen sizes.

The website incorporated all the elements of the new brand guidelines, and the text content was changed to be more accessible to people without English as a first language.

A translation widget was added, and the flow was simplified so service users can find the information they need faster.

On the back end, we took a few steps out of admin processes and made things smoother for workers and volunteers. Gravity Forms WordPress plugin now handles all referrals and signups.

LRF are a community-led organisation doing real good for people in Leeds and we love them! Follow LRF on @leedsrefugeeforum and lend your support.
