Hi! I'm Billy, a freelance website developer.

I began website development way back in 2003 when I checked out a book on HTML from my local library to improve the design of a Final Fantasy fans phpBB forum I’d inherited, then moved on to learning CSS to customise my Bebo page.

In 2018 I decided to quit my NGO job in England and focus on freelance website development, starting with WordPress, Squarespace and Shopify.

One year later I founded Queer Web Design, wanting to work as much as possible within my own community. Bracken Devlin soon joined the team as a graphic desginer and my business parter.

Today we’re a collective of six freelancers covering branding, marketing, copywriting, SEO, project management, graphic design, social media and (my favourite) WordPress websites – among others.

These days, I generally handle project management and client relations, training other freelancers how to work with WordPress. My favourite projects are full rebrands for existing organisations, or making someone’s Very First Website.

Despite being quite booked and busy, I’m always happy to talk through any website projects – so feel free to reach out! I work remotely all over the world.

PS – the dog is called Romeo.
